WHO WE ARE
Response Initiatives (REIN) is a Liberian-grown nonprofit working at the intersection of community dignity, justice, and sustainable futures. We walk alongside our local people: youth, elders, farmers, educators, and healers to restore what has been broken by conflict, inequality, and external imposition.
Our work centers on health and well-being, peace and justice, education rooted in local realities, climate change and environmental resilience, sustainable agriculture &food security, empowerment, language repair and preservation.

At REIN, our impact is measured by the lives we've touched, voices restored, and systems shifted from the ground up.
Over the years, we’ve worked alongside communities to achieve:
- Health and Wellbeing – Reached over 2,000 mothers and children through counseling, inner peace and self development health talks, and local care networks in underserved areas.
- Clean Energy Access – Installing solar systems in rural schools and health posts, ensuring light, safety, and power for learning and healing.
- Education and Youth Leadership – Trained over 3000 young people in community leadership, social media ethics, self development and other capacity building series
- Language & Cultural Preservation – Began translation of key national documents into Bassa and Kpelle; storytelling circles and local language and cultural events.
